Types of bowling:

The ball used in all formats is made of leather and it is made shiny and smooth by applying bright polish on it. As the game progresses, the bright polishing of this ball descends from the ball, which makes the ball rough. Therefore, in the entire game, the ball thrower (bowler) has to bowl with two types of bowling.

One type of bowling with the new and shiny ball and the other type with the old and rough ball. Bowling with smooth type ball is called fast bowling or pace bowling, and bowling with rough type ball is called spin bowling. Here we will discuss in detail about these two types of bowling in all types of formats of the game.

The difference of pressure resulting from movement of air over the dull and shiny surface tends to push the ball to the left. The result is that the ball moves aside, or swings to the left. In case of a new ball factor the seam to the path of the swing.

The difference of the separation of air by the seam the ball moves away or offside from the batsman.

What is meant by inswing bowling in cricket?

The seam angle to its axis produces an aerofoil effect as the ball travels through the air, pushing it toward the leg. This is enhanced by the different air pressure caused by the movement of air over sensitive and slippery surfaces, which in turn move the ball to the side of the leg.

The result is that the ball turns, or enters towards the batsman. The difference in air separation is the seam and the ball moves in or legside of the batsman.

The same kind of trajectory, which cuts from right to left when riding, when done by the left-arm bowler is known as the orthodox spin bowling.

Like all spinners, leg spinners pour the ball much slower than fast spinning. The fastest leg spinners will sometimes be up to 100 km / h. leg spinners usually use a flight differential by twisting the ball in the air, allowing for any aerodynamic effects of the ball spinning causing the ball to dip and turn before jumping and spinning  (usually called ‘turning').

While difficult to accurately bowled, a good leg-spin bolling is considered one of the most threatening types for batting because flying and sharp turns make the ball movement much more difficult to read and the batsman (though he or she the right-hand batsman) is more dangerous than the chance to penetrate the spins produced by an off-spinner.

What does it mean to be an off-spin bowler of cricket?

Off spin is a kind of finger turning bowling in cricket. The bowler that uses this method is called an off-spinner. Left-handed spinners are used with fingers to slide the ball from the left to the left of the leg (meaning to look into the batsman for the righthand, or away from the left-handed batsman).

This is in contrast to the leg-spin bowling where the ball moves the offside from the leg side to the other and is driven by a very different action.

The bowler that overlaps with the same action as the left-hand off-spinner is known as the orthodox bowler, While the other spinner has the same action as the off-spinner, the ball itself spins the other side.
