Like other sports, the captain 'Skipper' is the leader of the team and has a very significant role in the game of Cricket also.

The main objective and responsibility for the present captain of Test, ODI, and T20 formats are to enforce to perform their best cricket skills from the teammates so that they can always clinch the wins for the team.

Usually, the main eligibility for the appointment of any cricketer as a captain requires that he should be a permanent cricketer of the team and should be a well-experienced cricketer with having good knowledge of the rules and regulations of the ICC, who has good communication skills and holds the good unbiased understanding with all the teammates of the team.

Powell grew up in relative poverty, looking after his sister as his mother worked multiple jobs. He attended Old Harbour High School, also working as a goat herder for a period of time. He later won a sports scholarship to the University of the West Indies, where he studied geography and social studies.

Rovman Powell is a Jamaican cricketer who plays for the West Indies cricket team and is presently a captain in the T20I format. He played a key role in Jamaica's journey to the final in the 2016-17 Regional Super50 competition and he was thereafter picked by Jamaica Tallawahs in the 6th round of the 2017 CPL player draft.

Ervine comes from a family deeply involved in cricket, his father Rory, and Uncle Neil both played first-class cricket for Rhodesia B, while his brother Sean Ervine is also a former Zimbabwean international cricketer. His other brother Ryan also played domestic cricket in Zimbabwe.

Ervine received his education at Lomagundi College on the outskirts of Chinhoyi. His batting talent earned him a place in the Zimbabwe Cricket Academy and he soon represented the Zimbabwe Under 19 and A teams.

In his youth, Ervine suffered a serious accident that almost put an end to his cricketing dreams. He slipped and fell on a glass roof, badly injuring his right hand. After undergoing reconstructive surgery, he moved to England to further improve his game, where he represented clubs such as Bexhill, Lordhood, and Lisburn.

Ervine made his international debut for Zimbabwe in May 2010 in a T20 against Sri Lanka. He scored his first ODI century against New Zealand in 2015 and his first Test century against the same opposition in 2016. With a Test batting average of 33.60 and an ODI average of 32.25, Ervine has been a consistent performer for Zimbabwe.

He currently holds the record for the highest ODI batting average by a Zimbabwean player. Despite a slow start to his international career, Ervine remains a dependable middle-order batsman for his country.

Sikander Raza Butt, born on 24 April 1986 in Sialkot, Punjab province of Pakistan, a city known for its sports goods manufacturing, is a renowned all-rounder cricketer who represents the Zimbabwe national cricket team internationally.

His early life revolved around academics, with a strong focus on studies. However, he also loved playing gully cricket, which laid the foundation for his passion for the sport.

Initially, Raza aspired to become a fighter pilot and even enrolled at the Air Force College, but a failed eye test changed his path. In 2002, his family moved to Zimbabwe, where they settled permanently.

After moving to Zimbabwe, Raza pursued higher education at Glasgow Caledonian University. His time at university coincided with his growing interest in cricket, which he began playing at a semi-professional level. This educational background gave him a balanced approach to his cricketing ambitions.

It is often seen in the world that a wicket-keeper has more possibility to be the superior captain as compared to a batsman or a bowler or an all-rounder because he is always closest to the wicket.
