Following each T20 match, batsmen from both teams involved are awarded points using a precise mathematical formula. These points are divided by the aggregated number of matches they have recently played, as a result of which a rating is allotted for each batter. Subsequently, all batters are ranked in a table according to their respective ratings.

The batting average of cricketers plays a significant role in determining their points. In the event of a T20 match victory, the batter's points are increased from their previous rating, thereby elevating their overall rating. Conversely, a loss in a T20 match leads to deductions from the batter's previous rating, consequently lowering their overall rating.

In the case of a drawn match between teams with varying ratings, the batter from the higher-rated team experiences a loss in ranking, while the batter from the lower-rated team gains an advantage.
